David Kings Is Running In The 2024 Council Elections

I have a great passion for the Central Coast. I know if I am elected as an Independent, I have the coast’s best interests at heart and I have no hidden agenda – just to get the Central Coast council back to being for the community.

Please see below a short introduction to whom I am.

Who is David Kings?

David Kings is a husband of over 16 years. He is a father of two children 15 years and 13 years old. He is a local business owner with his wife running Kings Baked which has been operating since 2007. That has had up to 8 sites across the Central Coast from Umina Beach all the way up to Lake Haven and who over the time has employed up to 40 team members at one time. He understands the complexity of individuality and personality.

He is a local homeowner who has lived in Bensville since 2004 and is invested in the community in commercial real estate on the Peninsula. He is a person who 44 which is not too young and not too old either and has had enough life experience to understand what the community needs and what is relevant moving forward for the future. He is able to make decisions based on facts and figures also to have the hindsight to look forward and problem solving and time management is one of his key skills. He is also a man who enjoys motorbike riding, fishing spending time with friends and family, a scuba diver and Saltwater aquarium enthusiast, who understands the impacts to environment. He is strong enough to make hard decisions but has insight to understand.

Running an efficient council

Running an efficient council is essential for fostering transparency insuring that resources are allocated effectively and addressing the diverse needs of the community in a timely manner. An efficient council builds trust with residents and promotes sustainable development and enhances the quality of life for all citizens by making informed decisions and implementing policies that reflect the communities best interest.

Small business

Small businesses are the life blood of our local community, fuelling economic growth, creating jobs and fostering a unique and vibrant culture. They provide personalised services, local support and initiatives and build lasting relationships with their customers. By shopping locally and supporting small businesses we not only invest in the prosperity of our neighbourhoods but, also strengthen the fabric of our community ensuring its resilience and vitality for future generations.

Local sporting venues

Local sporting venues are the heart and soul of our communities. They are more than just places where athletes compete, they are where neighbours meet, friendships form and community pride thrives. Investing in local sporting venues is an investment in health, well-being and unity of our society. These spaces provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage in physical activity, learn teamwork and discipline and build lifelong connections. By supporting and maintaining these venues we ensure that future generations have the opportunity to experience the joy and benefit of sport, fostering a sense of belonging and civic engagement that strengthens communities.

Enhance our sporting facilities to promote health, build community spirit, and facilitate social interaction and events.
Support small businesses to drive economic growth, create jobs, and ensure vibrant, diverse local economies.
Ensure an effective, unbiased local government for fair decision-making and equitable resource distribution, fostering a strong, united community.
